Coromandel International awarded ICC Responsible Care Certification

Hyderabad, July 14 (TNT): Coromandel International Ltd has been awarded the Responsible Care Certification by the Indian Chemical Council (ICC), becoming one of a select group of companies globally to receive the recognition.

The certification, valid from April 2026 to March 2029, covers all 18 of the company’s manufacturing facilities across its Nutrients, Crop Protection Chemicals, Specialty Nutrients and Bio businesses.

Responsible Care is a global initiative of the chemical industry aimed at promoting excellence in safety, health, environmental protection, product stewardship and security across the value chain.

The programme is administered by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and is implemented in more than 70 countries.

Coromandel secured the certification after undergoing a comprehensive assessment and verification process conducted by the ICC.

As part of the exercise, the company implemented a structured improvement programme across its manufacturing operations, business functions and supplier ecosystem, focusing on process safety, employee wellbeing, environmental performance, product stewardship, distribution safety and community engagement.

Commenting on the achievement, Coromandel International Managing Director and CEO S. Sankarasubramanian said the certification reflected the company’s continued focus on responsible manufacturing and high safety standards.

He said the company was making significant investments to strengthen its safety systems and environmental practices and remained committed to maintaining the highest standards across its operations.
