Sri City (Tirupati Dist.) July 12 (TNT): Sri City emerged as one of the key industrial destinations showcased during Andhra Pradesh’s investment outreach in South Korea from July 5 to 11, led by IT, Electronics, Communications and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh.
Sri City Managing Director Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, who was part of the business delegation, thanked the minister for projecting Sri City as a premier global investment destination during meetings with Korean industry leaders, investors and institutions.
He said the visit significantly enhanced Andhra Pradesh’s visibility and credibility among global investors while highlighting Sri City’s strengths before leading Korean corporations, industry associations and government institutions.
During engagements in Seoul and Busan, Lokesh projected Sri City as a plug-and-play industrial hub for investments in electronics, semiconductors, display manufacturing, electric vehicle components, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence-driven industries and maritime technologies.
Sri City featured in discussions with leading Korean companies, including LG Electronics, Solum Group, Hyundai Mobis, Seoul Semiconductor, Sunic Systems, Samsung Electronics, Motivelink and Hyosung Heavy Industries.
The minister also proposed Sri City as a potential location for a dedicated Korean MSME township and as a key node in Andhra Pradesh’s emerging coastal innovation corridor.
Existing investments by LG Electronics and Solum Group were cited as examples of Sri City’s investor-friendly ecosystem, infrastructure readiness and global competitiveness.
Dr Sannareddy also thanked the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (EDB), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Embassy of India in Seoul and other partner organisations for supporting the outreach programme.
He said coordinated efforts were essential for attracting quality investments, strengthening international partnerships and generating employment in Andhra Pradesh.
