Telangana CS reviews progress of key industrial projects, stresses timely execution
Hyderabad, July 10 (TNT): Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Friday directed officials to expedite the implementation of key industrial infrastructure projects across the state, emphasising the need to attract investments and generate large-scale employment opportunities.
Chairing a review meeting with senior officials of the Industries and Commerce Department at the Secretariat, Jaju reviewed the progress of major projects being developed by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC), including Bharat Future City, Zaheerabad Industrial City, Kakatiya Mega Textile Park and other strategic industrial infrastructure initiatives.
TGIIC Managing Director Shashanka apprised the Chief Secretary of the status of the projects, infrastructure development, investment potential and completion timelines.
Jaju said the department should focus on positioning Telangana as a preferred investment destination by providing world-class infrastructure and a business-friendly ecosystem.
He stressed that attracting domestic and foreign investments was crucial for sustaining economic growth and creating employment opportunities for the youth.
He directed officials to ensure close coordination among all departments and implementing agencies for the timely execution of industrial projects and asked them to closely monitor progress, identify bottlenecks at an early stage and resolve them through effective inter-departmental coordination.
The Chief Secretary said flagship projects such as Bharat Future City, Zaheerabad Industrial City and the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park have the potential to transform Telangana’s industrial landscape by attracting significant investments and promoting balanced regional development.
He also instructed officials to adopt a proactive approach in providing infrastructure and investor facilitation services to ensure the successful implementation of the projects.
Industries and Commerce Special Secretary Krishna Aditya, Handlooms and Textiles Special Secretary Katyayani Devi, Invest Telangana Chief Executive Officer Ajit Reddy, Future City Development Authority Commissioner Shashanka, Industries Director Nikhil Chakravarthi and other senior officials attended the meeting.
