Amaravati, Feb 11 TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday called for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) coalition in the state to remain united for the next 15 years to ensure sustained development and political stability.
Addressing the NDA Legislature Party meeting held at the Assembly Committee Hall here, Naidu said that only a stable and unified government on the lines of Gujarat can deliver long-term growth.
He noted that the coalition had remained free of internal differences over the last 20 months, describing it as a positive and rare achievement in coalition politics.
Naidu said public support for the NDA government has increased compared to the time of elections due to the effective implementation of welfare and development programmes.
He urged MLAs and ministers to take ownership of government initiatives and actively communicate achievements to the people.
“We must continue to work with the same spirit and commitment that helped us win the elections,” he said.
The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of discipline and meaningful debate in the Assembly, asking members to be present in the House from 9 am to 1 pm and focus on issue-based discussions that resonate with the public.
He also highlighted the crucial role of Central government support in implementing major welfare schemes and infrastructure projects, including Amaravati, Polavaram, and the revival of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said the coalition government had worked in unity over the past 20 months to overcome the damage caused during the previous YSRCP regime.
He reiterated that the NDA would remain together for the next 15 years to ensure Andhra Pradesh’s progress.
Pawan Kalyan advised alliance partners to resolve differences internally and strictly adhere to coalition discipline.
The meeting also reviewed the welfare and development programmes implemented over the last 20 months.
The Chief Minister directed the party legislators and ministers to take these achievements to the grassroots and strengthen public confidence in the NDA government.
