BJP Will Form Government in Telangana in 2028, Says Nitin Nabin; Targets Congress

Warangal, June 29 (TNT): BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Telangana, alleging that it had failed to fulfil its election promises, and asserted that the BJP would form a “double-engine government” in the state in the 2028 Assembly elections.

Addressing the BJP Booth Pramukh Sammelan here, Nabin said the party would reach every household through its booth-level workers and strengthen its organisational network to secure power in Telangana.

He alleged that the Congress government had failed to provide the promised two lakh jobs and accused it of serving the interests of its party leadership rather than the people of the state.

“The Congress government’s identity is to make promises and forget them,” he said, adding that the BJP believed in development-oriented politics rather than vote-bank or dynastic politics.

Nabin said the BJP had supported the formation of Telangana without considering political gains and losses, recalling that former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj had forcefully advocated statehood for Telangana in Parliament.

He alleged that the vision behind the formation of Telangana had been lost under successive governments and said the BJP was committed to restoring that vision by establishing a government rooted in nationalism, development and Indian cultural values.

Calling upon party workers to intensify grassroots outreach, he urged booth presidents to enrol every eligible voter, spread awareness about Central Government welfare schemes and ensure the BJP’s presence in every household.

The BJP leader said the party regarded political power as a means of public service and not an end in itself.

Highlighting the achievements of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre, Nabin said India had strengthened national security, responded firmly to terrorism through surgical strikes, air strikes and Operation Sindoor, and taken decisive steps to eliminate Left Wing Extremism.

He also criticised the Congress for allegedly failing to honour former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, claiming that it was the Modi government which conferred the Bharat Ratna on the late Congress leader.

Expressing confidence that the BJP would emerge victorious in the next Assembly elections, Nabin said the party would establish a “double-engine government” in Telangana and fulfil the aspirations of the state’s youth, farmers and women.
