TTD cancels VIP Break Darshan on Monday amid heavy rush at Tirumala

Tirumala, June 27 (TNT): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has cancelled the VIP Break Darshan scheduled for Monday owing to an unprecedented rush of pilgrims at Tirumala following the end of the summer holidays and the weekend influx.

The decision was taken to facilitate darshan for a larger number of common devotees, TTD said in a release here.

Consequently, recommendation letters for VIP Break Darshan will not be accepted on Sunday.

The 800 Srivani Darshan tickets, which are normally issued every day through the online current booking system, will also not be issued on Monday.

The TTD appealed to devotees to take note of the changes and plan their pilgrimage accordingly.

Meanwhile, the heavy inflow of pilgrims has led to all compartments of the Vaikuntham Queue Complex and the external queue lines being filled to capacity.

The waiting queue for Sri Venkateswara Swamy Darshan has extended up to the Balaji Nagar area.

With several thousand more pilgrims expected to arrive, senior TTD officials are closely monitoring the situation and overseeing arrangements to ensure that devotees are provided with all necessary facilities without  inconvenience.
