VNR VJIET Confers Degrees on 1,800 Students; Highest Placement Package Touches Rs 65 LPA
Hyderabad, June 27 (TNT): VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNR VJIET) on Saturday celebrated its Graduation Day, awarding degrees to nearly 1,800 students and announcing an impressive placement record, with over 290 graduates securing annual salary packages of more than ₹10 lakh and the highest offer touching ₹65 lakh per annum.
The ceremony was attended by Cyient Group Founder Chairman and Chairman of the Boards of Governors of IIT Hyderabad and NIT Warangal, B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune Vice-Chancellor B.H.V.S. Narayana Murthy, Vignana Jyothi President S. Suresh Babu and other dignitaries.
The institute said students secured placements in leading multinational companies, including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and Atlassian, attributing the achievement to its industry-oriented curriculum, experiential learning and strong academic foundation.
VNR VJIET also announced that it had signed over 300 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen industry and academic collaborations. These include partnerships with 10 international institutions for research and development centres, 70 industry-academia collaborations and the establishment of 140 academic and research laboratories on campus.
Addressing the graduates, Mohan Reddy said technological advancements such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology and space technologies were transforming industries, but emphasised that AI should be viewed as an enabling tool rather than a threat.
He urged students to embrace lifelong learning, saying curiosity, judgement, empathy and integrity would remain the most valuable qualities in the age of AI.
VNR VJIET Principal B. Chennakesava Rao said graduation marked the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning and innovation.
He said the institute has consistently focused on producing graduates equipped with technical competence, ethical values and adaptability to meet emerging global challenges.
Suresh Babu advised graduates to cultivate patience, vision, critical thinking and technical skills, describing them as the four essential qualities for success in engineering and innovation.
The institute also honoured students for outstanding achievements in areas including waste management, green energy, 3D printing and design, autonomous vehicles and smart cities.
