YSR Trade Union Congress Stages Dharna in Kakinada Against RTC Privatization Move

Kakinada, June 22 (TNT): YSR trade Union congress workers  staged dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Monday protesting against the Government’s  move to privatize the APSRTC.

YSRCP rural trade union president Siddhanthapu Ravikumar, YSR Trade union congress district president  Chekka Chakravarty led the dharna.

They alleged that the government was planning to privatize the APSRTC showing the hiked diesel prices and other vehicle maintenance charges as a pretext  .`

It is a gross injustice to lay additional burden on the people by privatizing the APSRTC and the government should withdraw this draconian move’ they demanded.

They said statewide in all district headquarters protest dharnas were being organised opposing the government’s move to privatize the APSRTC .

If the government did not change its stance, their union would further intensify the agitation ,they warned
