Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad Runners Organise ‘Apollo Yogathon 2026’ on Intl Yoga Day

Hyderabad, June 21(TNT): Apollo Hospitals Financial District, in association with Hyderabad Runners, organised Apollo Yogathon 2026 on Sunday to mark International Yoga Day, promoting fitness, wellness and holistic health through a unique combination of yoga and running.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from runners, fitness enthusiasts, doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and members of the public.

The programme featured guided yoga sessions before and after the weekly Sunday Long Run, encouraging participants to adopt healthier lifestyles and integrate physical activity with mindfulness practices.

Speaking on the occasion, Apollo Hospitals Telugu States CEO Tejasvi Rao Veerapalli said International Yoga Day serves as a reminder of the importance of incorporating both physical activity and mindfulness into daily life to build a healthier future.

Apollo Hospitals Financial District COO Harkaran Singh highlighted the hospital’s commitment to preventive healthcare and community wellness initiatives aimed at improving public health outcomes.

Addressing the gathering, Hyderabad Runners Society President Arun Kumar K said the organisation was proud to partner with Apollo Hospitals Financial District for Apollo Yogathon 2026.

He said the initiative successfully brought together two important pillars of wellness—yoga and running.

“While running strengthens endurance and cardiovascular fitness, yoga enhances flexibility, balance, mindfulness and recovery. Together, they create a holistic approach to health and well-being,” he said.

Arun Kumar noted that events such as Apollo Yogathon encourage communities to embrace active lifestyles and place greater emphasis on preventive healthcare.

He added that Hyderabad Runners remains committed to promoting fitness, inclusivity and community engagement across the city and thanked Apollo Hospitals for the collaboration.

Doctors, nursing staff and paramedical personnel from Apollo Hospitals actively participated in the event.
