Kakinada Collector Receives 123 Petitions at Special Grievance Cell for Differently-Abled
Kakinada, June 20 (TNT): Kakinada District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad on Saturday received 123 petitions from differently-abled persons during a special grievance cell held at the Collectorate to address their welfare-related issues and grievances.
The Collector, accompanied by District Revenue Officer Dr. Tippe Naik and other district officials, heard representations concerning pensions, housing, hearing aids, education, employment, healthcare services, welfare schemes and other departmental matters.
Reviewing the petitions, the Collector directed the concerned departments to examine the applications and ensure their disposal within the stipulated timeframe.
He said the special grievance cell for differently-abled persons is being conducted on the third Saturday of every month as per government directions to provide a dedicated platform for redressal of their grievances.
The Collector urged beneficiaries to make use of the facility to bring their issues to the notice of the administration.
Later, he distributed hearing aids to 30 beneficiaries provided through the Department for the Welfare of Differently-Abled and Senior Citizens.
On the occasion, the Collector administered an oath to the participants, urging them to stay away from drugs and other narcotic substances.
Senior district officials from various departments were present.
