Sri Mahalakshmi Deepotsavam Symbol of Prosperity, Says TTD JEO
Tirupati, June 19 (TNT): Sri Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja was conducted with religious fervour at Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini in Tirupati on Friday, drawing a large number of devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, TTD Joint Executive Officer Dr. A. Sarat said the programme is aimed at promoting spiritual well-being, happiness and prosperity among people.
He announced that Sri Mahalakshmi Deepa Puja would henceforth be organised on the second Friday of every month at different locations.
The venue reverberated with Govinda Namasmarana as priests performed Vedic rituals, Deepalakshmi worship and special prayers amid the illumination of thousands of lamps.
Devotees participated in the rituals with devotion, seeking the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi for peace, prosperity and welfare.
TTD Board members, officials, Vedic scholars and devotees were present on the occasion.
