Andhra Pradesh Emerging as Top Destination for Semiconductor Manufacturing: CM Naidu in Singapore
Singapore, June 16 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that Andhra Pradesh is rapidly emerging as one of the most attractive destinations for semiconductor manufacturing and invited global industry leaders to visit the state within the next 30 days to explore its investor-friendly policies and business opportunities.
Addressing the Semicon Ecosystem Roundtable Conference in Singapore on Tuesday, the Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to a “Speed of Doing Business” model aimed at ensuring faster approvals, efficient governance, and seamless industrial growth.
Naidu noted that India is currently among the safest and most promising destinations for global investments, with Andhra Pradesh standing out as a particularly favorable state for investors.
Emphasizing that this is the right time to invest, he underscored the state’s proactive industrial policies and ongoing infrastructure development initiatives.
The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh offers substantial opportunities across the entire semiconductor value chain.
He revealed that a semiconductor manufacturing facility is expected to be established soon in the Rayalaseema region, further strengthening the state’s position in the high-technology manufacturing sector.
Highlighting the region’s industrial potential, Naidu said Rayalaseema is well-positioned to become a hub for advanced manufacturing industries, including defense production, aerospace, electronics, fighter aircraft components, and automobile manufacturing.
The Semicon Ecosystem Roundtable brought together representatives from leading semiconductor and technology companies, including GlobalFoundries, NXP Semiconductors, ASMPT, One Systems Technologies, TechSend Photomask, and Aquatech, along with several other industry stakeholders.
Reaffirming the state’s commitment to industrial development, Naidu stated that Andhra Pradesh is focused on building a robust semiconductor ecosystem and is prepared to partner with global companies to drive innovation, manufacturing excellence, and sustainable economic growth.
