Sri Sathya Sai Skill Development Alumni Meet Draws 550 Participants in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, June 14 (TNT): Around 550 alumni of the Skill Development Programmes (SDPs) conducted by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Andhra Pradesh, participated in a grand alumni meet held at the Railway Institute Hall in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.

The event brought together former trainees from various vocational trades, who shared their experiences of how the programmes helped them secure employment, pursue self-employment opportunities and improve their quality of life.

Participants said the training not only enhanced their vocational skills but also helped them develop self-confidence, discipline, human values and a spirit of selfless service.

Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Bhavya Reddy ,ACP (Crimes), Visakhapatnam, encouraged youth to acquire modern skills such as digital marketing and emerging technologies in addition to vocational competencies to improve their employment prospects in a competitive job market.

In his address, R. Lakshmana Rao , State President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Andhra Pradesh, highlighted the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba on human values, character building and selfless service.

He said skill development combined with a service-oriented outlook could transform individuals and contribute significantly to nation-building.

During the programme, organisers formally announced the approval granted by the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation for conducting a Health Care Assistant Training Programme.
