Rs 6.76 Cr Advanced Medical Technologies Commissioned at SSSIHMS Whitefield
Bengaluru, June 12 (TNT): Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences (SSSIHMS), Whitefield, on Friday commissioned a range of advanced medical technologies aimed at strengthening patient care, clinical excellence, medical education and operational efficiency.
The new facilities were inaugurated by RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, during his visit to the hospital.
According to the institute, the equipment, procured and installed over the past few months across multiple specialties, represents a significant enhancement of the hospital’s healthcare infrastructure.
Collectively valued at approximately Rs 6.76 crore, the newly commissioned technologies have been introduced to provide patients access to the latest advances in medical care completely free of cost, while also strengthening the institution’s capabilities in clinical services, teaching, research and healthcare delivery.
The investment includes equipment funded directly by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust as well as through contributions from philanthropic and corporate social responsibility (CSR) partners, including SBI Mutual Fund Foundation, GE Vernova through United Way Bengaluru, and Happy Reliable Surgeries Pvt. Ltd.
The hospital said the initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust towards providing world-class healthcare services free of charge in line with the vision of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The commissioning of the advanced technologies is expected to enhance diagnostic accuracy, treatment outcomes and patient safety, while enabling healthcare professionals to deliver more efficient and specialised care.
