Grand Pushpa Yagam at Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati on June 22

Tirupati, June 10 (TNT): A grand Pushpayagam Mahotsavam will be held at the Govindaraja Swamy Temple here  on June 22.

As part of the festivities, Senadhipati Utsavam and Ankurarpanam will be conducted on June 21 from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

On June 22, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed at 9.30 a.m., followed by the Pushpayagam from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The deity will be worshipped with a variety of fragrant flowers and sacred leaves. A grand Veedhi Utsavam will be held at 6 p.m.

Temple priests said the Pushpayagam is performed as an atonement ritual for any inadvertent lapses that may occur during Brahmotsavams and daily temple rituals.

Couples can participate in this sacred seva by purchasing a ticket priced at Rs.516 and seek the blessings of the Lord, temple officials said.
