TGFDC Donates Electrical Buggies, Therapy Equipment Worth Rs 33 Lakh to NIMS Under CSR

Hyderabad, June 7 (TNT) : The Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, donated two electrical buggies and hand therapy equipment valued at ₹33 lakh to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad.

The equipment was formally inaugurated by TGFDC Chairman Podem Veeraiah in the presence of TGFDC Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director Sunita M. Bhagwat, IFS, and NIMS Director Dr. N. Beerappa, the corporation said in a release here on Sunday.

The initiative aims to improve patient care and accessibility within the NIMS campus while strengthening rehabilitation services for patients.

According to TGFDC officials, the two electrical buggies will facilitate the transportation of patients, elderly visitors and hospital staff across the sprawling NIMS campus, enhancing convenience and accessibility.

The hand therapy equipment will support rehabilitation programmes and aid patients undergoing treatment for hand and upper-limb conditions, helping improve recovery outcomes and overall healthcare services.

The corporation said the donation reflects its commitment to supporting public healthcare institutions and contributing to community welfare through meaningful CSR interventions.

Senior TGFDC officials present on the occasion included Chief General Manager (Commercial) D. Venkateshwar Reddy, General Manager (Operations) Dr. G. Skylab, General Manager (Vigilance) Syed Maqsood, and Financial Controller A. Kiran Kumar.
