Cycle rally to mark World cycle day flagged off in Kakinada

Kakinada , June 3 (TNT): A cycle rally was organised to mark the World cycle day under the joint auspices of Union ministry of youth affairs and sports ,( My Bharat) and the district youth affairs wing  at the district sports authority grounds here on Wednesday .

District Youth Officer Thirri Gopi has flagged off the rally.

During his brief address, the district youth officer advised the youth to evince special interest  on their physical fitness.` Cycling would improve health and also paves the way for environmental protection.

Keeping in view the fuel prices and the impending fuel shortage youth should make  cycling and walking a daily habit.

Adopting a healthy life style youth can develop individually and also develop  the society as a whole ’ he added. District sports development officer Sathish Kumar, sports authority coaches, SETRAZ  representatives, Sportsmen and representatives of voluntary organizations participated  in the impressive  cycle rally that passed through the main streets and converged in to a public meeting at the district sports grounds.
