Owaisi Reviews Electoral Roll Revision Process, Directs AIMIM Legislators to Assist Voters
Hyderabad, June 4 (TNT): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday chaired a meeting of party legislators at the AIMIM headquarters, Darussalam , Hyderabad, to review the implementation and progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The meeting focused on assessing the ongoing voter list revision exercise and addressing challenges being faced by the public during the process.
Legislators from various constituencies shared feedback from the ground and highlighted issues encountered by voters, including procedural difficulties and other concerns requiring immediate attention.
During the review, Owaisi stressed the need for party representatives to extend all possible assistance to citizens to ensure that no genuine voter faces inconvenience during the electoral roll revision exercise.
He emphasised that every effort should be made to help eligible voters complete the required procedures and ensure that their names remain on the electoral rolls.
The AIMIM president also underlined the importance of creating awareness among voters regarding the revision process and assisting them in resolving documentation or procedural issues that could affect their enrolment.
The meeting reiterated the party’s commitment to safeguarding the democratic rights of citizens and ensuring that every eligible voter is duly included in the electoral rolls.
Party leaders said the AIMIM would continue to monitor the implementation of the Special Intensive Revision process and work to ensure that eligible voters are not excluded due to lack of awareness or procedural hurdles.
