Taking Singareni to International Standards a Matter of Pride for Telangana: CMD
Hyderabad, June 3 (TNT): Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Dr Buddhaprakash Jyoti, has said that transforming Singareni into an organisation of international standards would bring greater recognition and pride to Telangana.
He called upon employees to perform their duties with dedication and commitment to ensure the company’s continued growth and competitiveness.
Addressing the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations held at Singareni Bhavan here on Tuesday, Dr Buddhaprakash Jyoti said Singareni, one of Telangana’s most significant public sector enterprises, is steadily expanding its operations beyond the state and should work towards establishing a presence at the global level in the coming years.
He noted that Telangana was achieved through the sacrifices of countless youth, leaders and people from all sections of society. Since its formation, the state has registered remarkable progress across various sectors and created substantial employment opportunities for its younger generation, he said.
Highlighting the company’s promising future, the CMD stressed the need to enhance production and productivity by making optimum use of machinery in both opencast and underground mines.
He also underlined the importance of improving operational efficiency and maintaining high-quality standards in mining activities.
Earlier, the CMD paid floral tributes to Telangana Thalli, the Martyrs’ Memorial and the portrait of Professor K. Jayashankar before unfurling the National Flag as part of the celebrations.
On the occasion, employees who rendered outstanding services to the organisation were felicitated. The award recipients included L. Srinivas, AGM (Purchase), Y. Lakshminarayana, MV Driver, and D. Rudramma, an outsourcing employee.
The programme was attended by Gowtham Potru, Director (Personnel & Finance), T. Srinivas, General Manager (Coordination & Marketing), and other senior officials and employees.
