Royal Enfield Launches Bullet 650 in India at Rs 3.65 Lakh

New Delhi, May 28 (TNT): Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment (250cc–750cc), on Thursday  announced the launch of its iconic motorcycle ‘Bullet’ in its powerful 650cc avatar in India, opening an exhilarating new chapter in its journey of over nine decades.

Higher-capacity version of its longest-running model, the Bullet 650 will be available in Cannon Black and Battleship Blue colour options at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3,64,856, with retail sales beginning across India immediately, the company said in a release here.

The launch marks the latest expansion of Royal Enfield’s 650cc platform, which already underpins models including the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

First introduced in 1932, the Bullet is among the world’s longest-running motorcycles in continuous production and is currently in its 94th year, the company said.

The motorcycle is powered by Royal Enfield’s parallel twin 650cc engine paired with a six-speed gearbox and is built on a steel tubular spine frame with Showa suspension.

Speaking on the launch, B Govindarajan, Managing Director – Eicher Motors Limited and CEO – Royal Enfield,  said the company sought to “elevate” the Bullet with modern engineering while preserving its classic styling and character.

The Bullet 650 retains signature design elements including the teardrop fuel tank, hand-painted pinstripes, bench-style seat and casquette headlamp with “tiger-eye” pilot lamps.

The company said the motorcycle also features a hybrid analogue-digital instrument cluster with information including fuel level, trip meter, gear position indicator and service reminders.

Royal Enfield will offer a range of genuine accessories for the model, targeting both touring and everyday riders.
