AP Govt Signs MoU with foundit to Boost Skilling and Employment Opportunities

Amaravati, May 26 (TNT): The Government of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with foundit to strengthen talent development, skilling and employment opportunities for citizens and domiciles of Andhra Pradesh through the state’s Kaushalam initiative.

The agreement was signed through the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) and Kaushalam, a not-for-profit initiative aimed at bringing together government, industry and academia to improve employability among youth through personal, technical and organisational skill development.

Under the partnership, the two sides will collaborate using foundit’s AI-powered hiring and assessment capabilities to strengthen industry-ready talent pipelines, improve employability and expand opportunities for students and job seekers through integrated digital platforms.

The collaboration will also support Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to emerge as a major hub for Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Global Capability Centres (GCCs), while creating pathways for employment opportunities in India and abroad.

Key areas of cooperation include integrating Kaushalam with foundit’s platform to streamline candidate discovery, profile completion and recruiter access while maintaining data privacy and compliance standards.

The partnership will also focus on improving candidate visibility and hiring outcomes for employers, including GCCs and enterprises establishing operations in Andhra Pradesh.

As part of the initiative, Kaushalam will explore the use of foundit’s “Skillyst” assessment framework for skill-gap evaluation and employability assessment.

Both sides will also work on mechanisms to connect candidates with employers in Andhra Pradesh in a phased manner, with priority being given to citizens and domiciles of the state.

Officials said the collaboration is expected to enhance job discovery and application experiences for job seekers, while providing access to skill assessments, verified profiles and industry opportunities aimed at improving employability and supporting targeted upskilling pathways.

Andhra Pradesh ITE & C Department Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni said Kaushalam reflects Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to transforming employability for lakhs of youth in the state.

“We are delighted to partner with foundit, whose strength in connecting talent to opportunity will significantly amplify the reach and impact of the platform,” he said.

Chief Executive Officer of foundit Tarun Sinha said the company is pleased to support talent development, employability and access to meaningful opportunities in Andhra Pradesh through its AI-powered hiring and assessment capabilities.

The MoU reflects a shared commitment to building an integrated and future-ready talent ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh by aligning workforce readiness with industry demand and creating stronger employment opportunities for residents of the state.
