Ashok Leyland Bags Order for 715 Vehicles from VRL Logistics
Mumbai, May 25 (TNT): Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship company of the Hinduja Group and one of the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, on Monday announced it has secured an order for 715 vehicles from VRL Logistics, a major logistics operator in the country.
The order includes AVTR 3120 haulage trucks, BOSS 1615 trucks and Oyster staff buses, further strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two companies.
The company said deliveries were progressing as scheduled, with 300 vehicles already delivered and the remaining 415 set to be supplied during the current year.
VRL Logistics Managing Director Dr. Anand Sankeshwar said the company had complete confidence in the quality, reliability and performance of Ashok Leyland vehicles.
He said Ashok Leyland’s after-sales support and expanding service network provided operational advantages and contributed to uninterrupted logistics operations.
“The fresh order of 715 vehicles marks a strategic deepening of our partnership to drive higher logistics efficiency,” he said.
Ashok Leyland National Sales Head – MHCV Madhavi Deshmukh said the order reflected the trust and confidence VRL Logistics had in the company’s technology and vehicle performance.
She said the company remained focused on developing advanced, safe and efficient mobility solutions tailored to the evolving requirements of logistics customers.
According to the company, the vehicles are equipped with advanced technologies and modern features aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing maintenance downtime and enhancing fleet productivity.
