Strict Action Against Those Misleading Devotees: Tirupati SP

Tirupati, May 25 (UNI): Tirupati District Superintendent of Police L. Subbarayudu on Sunday warned that stern action would be taken against persons misleading devotees visiting Tirumala.

Speaking to reporters after inspecting the Time Slot Sarvadarshan and Divya Darshan token counters at Bhudevi Complex along with officials, the SP said the police, traffic and TTD Vigilance departments were jointly implementing comprehensive security and crowd-management measures.

He urged devotees to cooperate with the authorities to ensure smooth darshan arrangements and maintain order at pilgrim centres.

Referring to complaints against some auto-rickshaw drivers operating near Bhudevi Complex, Srinivasam and Vishnunivasam centres, Subbarayudu said counselling had already been conducted for those involved.

He warned that stringent action, including seizure of vehicles and registration of criminal cases, would be initiated if such incidents continued.
