AP CM Naidu , Wife Taste Fresh Palm Sprouts at Tanjammakottalu

Tirupati, May 20 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari made a brief stop at Tanjammakottalu near here on Wednesday and tasted freshly cut palm sprouts offered by toddy-tapping workers.

The couple was returning after offering silk vastrams to the goddess during the Prasanna Tirupati Gangamma Jathara held in Kuppam.

On noticing toddy-tapping workers collecting fresh palm sprouts by the roadside, the Chief Minister halted his convoy and walked up to them along with his wife.

The workers cut fresh palm sprouts on the spot and offered them to the couple, who tasted them.

Naidu also interacted with the workers and enquired about their livelihood and family conditions before resuming the journey.
