India to host BRICS Youth Entrepreneurship Working Group Meeting in Indore from May 20

New Delhi, May 19 (TNT): The Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will organise the BRICS Youth Entrepreneurship Working Group Meeting in Indore on May 20 and 21 as part of India’s BRICS Chairship for 2026.

The meeting will be held under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability” and will bring together young entrepreneurs and representatives from BRICS member countries to discuss innovation, enterprise and sustainable development.

The two-day event will feature a virtual address by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya.

The inaugural session will be led by Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse, who will inaugurate the exhibition and deliver the opening address.

The session will also include remarks by Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and Dr Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs.

According to officials, the programme will include structured discussions, interactive sessions and collaborative exchanges focusing on strengthening youth-led entrepreneurship ecosystems across BRICS nations.

Key themes to be discussed include digital innovation, inclusivity, sustainability and cross-country collaboration. The event is also expected to provide opportunities for young entrepreneurs to exchange ideas, explore partnerships and build international networks.

Officials said the meeting would contribute towards creating a shared understanding among BRICS countries on advancing entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth and social impact.

The initiative is part of India’s broader efforts to strengthen youth engagement and international cooperation during its BRICS Chairship for 2026.
