Kakinada , Feb 3 (TNT): Municipal corporation commissioner Satyanarayana during his intensive out door visit to 45 and 46 divisions in the city on Tuesday has interacted with the people on the sanitation and also the quality of the drinking water being supplied.
The Commissioner himself tasted the drinking water being supplied to the households and tested the quality and density of the water and expressed satisfaction.
He also sensitized the people on the drinking water quality and density standards.
He told media persons that during his visit he could notice people in Kotha road area throwing the garbage on the roads and making the road as the cattle shed. Instructions were given to the officials to take a serious view and take action against those throwing garbage on the road and also using the roads as cattle sheds.
In some localities street lights are not working and instructions were issued to the municipal electricity wing officials to attend to them on priority basis ‘ the commissioner added.
Later the commissioner visited the Anna Canteen in Raja tank area and received the feed back from the people taking food and expressed satisfaction over the food quality and cleanliness . The commissioner sought the peoples cooperation in keeping the city clean and neat.
Health Officer Dr Prudhvicharan, Sanitation supervisor Naidu, Water works DE Lakshminarayana ,Alliance parties ward leaders Gummala Chinna, Ankireddi Ramunaidu, Immidisetti Ramana and Bhagavan accompanied the commissioner during the visit.
