Kakinada, Feb 3 (TNT): District Collector Shan Mohan,SP Bindu Madhav on Tuesday inspected the arrangements for the forthcoming Maha Sivarathri festival at the holy shrine of Pada Gaya in Pithapuram town.
Since large number of devotees from various places across the state are expected to throng the holy shrine for the Maha Sivarathri, both the Collector and the SP inspected the arrangements such as Police Bando bust and public safety.
The SP instructed the concerned police officials to evince special interest on the safety of women, aged people and children.
He also asked them to ensure effective police Bando Bust in temple surroundings, traffic regulation, Queue Lines supervision and CC TV cameras installation.
SP further asked the circle Inspector Pithapuram to take up effective traffic control measures so as there will not be any traffic disruptions in the National Highway-216 limits.
The SP also gave clear instructions to the police officials to take up fool proof security measures to avert any accidents in Padagaya Koneru area.
The police department should be on full alert so as to ensure that the Maha Sivarathri festival could be celebrated in a peaceful atmosphere without causing any inconvenience to the devotees’ the SP added.
Assistant superintendent of police Manish Devraj Patil, District Special Branch DSP KVV Satyanarayana, Pithapuram CI Srinivas , Temple Executive Officer K Jaganmohan Srinivas, Officers of revenue, R and B, RWS, Fire services accompanied the Collector and SP during the inspection.
