Sagar Defence invests in EndureAir Systems to expand indigenous Aerial Robotics Portfolio

Hyderabad, Feb 3 (TNT): Sagar Defence Engineering Private Limited, an Indian Defence Technology company,  on Tuesday announced made a strategic investment in EndureAir Systems Pvt. Ltd., an IIT Kanpur–incubated aerospace startup, as part of its push to scale indigenous unmanned and autonomous systems for defence and advanced applications.

The investment strengthens Sagar Defence Engineering’s growth strategy of building a vertically integrated, homegrown defence technology ecosystem by partnering with research-led startups, the company said in a release.

EndureAir Systems, founded by Dr. Abhishek, Rama Krishna and Chirag Jain, has emerged from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur with mission-ready aerial robotics platforms designed for Indian operational requirements.

Founded by Capt. Nikunj Parashar along with Mridul Babbar, Lakshay Dang, Ankit Kumar and Saurabh Patil, Sagar Defence Engineering is focused on deploying autonomous and unmanned solutions across defence use cases.

The investment underscores the company’s intent to complement its execution and market capabilities with EndureAir’s deep R&D and product innovation strengths.

From a business standpoint, the partnership is expected to accelerate product development, enable faster commercialization of indigenous aerial robotics, and reduce reliance on imported technologies.

Both companies see the collaboration as a long-term value creation opportunity aligned with national priorities such as defence self-reliance and the Viksit Bharat vision.

With this move, Sagar Defence Engineering continues to expand its strategic investment portfolio while positioning itself as a key enabler of India’s growing defence manufacturing and aerospace innovation ecosystem.
