Hyderabad, Feb 2 (TNT): Cyberabad Commissioner of Police (CP) Dr. M. Ramesh on Monday chaired a comprehensive crime review meeting, stressing that public service and core policing must remain the top priority.
Reviewing crime data for December 2025 and January 2026, the CP focused on property offences, cybercrime, crimes against women and children, NDPS cases and pending investigations.
He directed officers to ensure speedy detection, quality investigation and timely disposal of cases, with mandatory visits by senior officers to crime scenes.
Special emphasis was laid on tackling gang crimes, fraud, snatching and cyber offences, and on improving conviction rates in POCSO, SC/ST (POA) and economic offence cases, he sai.
He also ordered time-bound action plans to clear pendency, intensified checks on habitual offenders and inter-state gangs, and stronger visible policing through night patrols and surprise operations.
