Hyderabad, Apr 21 (TNT): Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Tuesday said the state offers world-class infrastructure for advanced medical devices manufacturing and is well-positioned to attract global investments in the sector.
During a meeting with MedTech industrialists from the Netherlands and academic researchers at the Secretariat, the Minister said all necessary facilities are available at the Medical Devices Park in Genome Valley, enabling companies to commence production immediately.
He said Telangana provides a conducive ecosystem for medical research, artificial intelligence applications and medical equipment manufacturing, adding that the state ranks among the top in pharmaceutical production, innovation and vaccine manufacturing.
Recalling the COVID-19 pandemic, he noted that biotech companies from Telangana supplied vaccines to over 120 countries.
The Minister said the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is extending full support to position the state as a hub for advanced medical devices manufacturing, backed by adequate availability of power, water and land.
He also highlighted opportunities in areas such as imaging technology, clinical validation, digital health profiles and AI-driven healthcare solutions, stating that the state has a strong pool of skilled human resources.
Sridhar Babu encouraged collaboration with universities in Telangana and invited global players to explore partnerships.
The meeting was attended by a delegation led by Jan Reint Smit, along with state officials including IT Advisor I. Saikrishna, TGIIC MD Shashank, Industries Commissioner Nikhil Chakravarthy, Special Secretary Raghurama Sharma and Telangana Life Sciences CEO Sarvesh Singh, among others.
