Ahead of Civic Polls, BJP releases Charge Sheet targeting congress Rule in Telangana

Hyderabad, Feb 2 (TNT): With municipal and municipal corporation elections nearing, the Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana unit on Monday released a charge sheet titled “Fake Assurances – Deceptive Promises,” accusing the Congress government of governance failure, corruption, and betrayal of electoral promises.

The charge sheet was unveiled by BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao along with Maharashtra Minister and election in-charge Ashish Shelar.

Addressing the media, Rao alleged that the Indian National Congress came to power on false guarantees but failed to implement key promises related to jobs, farmers’ welfare, healthcare, education, and support to women.

He said employees, pensioners, farmers, youth, and the urban poor were the worst affected.

He also accused the state government of neglecting municipalities by not releasing funds, leading to poor civic infrastructure, while claiming that Central government support has become crucial for urban development in Telangana.

Urging voters not to be misled again, Rao called on citizens to support the BJP in the upcoming civic polls under the slogan “Save Telangana – Vote for BJP.”
