Hyderabad, Apr 20 (TNT): India Yamaha Motor hosted its first-ever Mega Mileage Challenge in Hyderabad, showcasing the fuel efficiency of its hybrid two-wheelers, including the FZ-S Fi Hybrid motorcycle and 125cc Fi Hybrid scooters -Fascino 125 Fi and RayZR 125 Fi.
The event, organised in collaboration with Yamaha Blue Square dealerships, aimed to educate customers on the benefits of hybrid technology featuring the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system and Stop & Start System (SSS), which enhance fuel efficiency while reducing emissions. Participants included Yamaha customers and their family members, the company said in a relase here on Sunday..
The challenge began at Naren Gardens Convention Centre, with riders covering a 65-km route for motorcycles and a 35-km route for scooters across mixed riding conditions such as city traffic and open roads. After completing the ride, vehicles were refuelled to measure actual fuel consumption and mileage.
Yamaha experts also guided participants on riding techniques and maintenance practices to maximise fuel efficiency.
Each participant received souvenirs and complimentary bike maintenance services, along with a 10-point vehicle inspection to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Winners were awarded trophies and certificates in recognition of their achievements.
The initiative highlighted Yamaha’s commitment to promoting fuel-efficient, eco-friendly mobility solutions while engaging directly with its customer base.
