Suryapet, Apr 17 (TNT): Dr. Soumya Mishra, Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services, Telangana, visited Sub Jail, here on Friday.
She carried out a comprehensive inspection of the institution.
During the visit, she reviewed key aspects of prison administration, including food quality, security arrangements, sanitation, and inmate facilities.
She personally interacted with the prisoners, enquired about their well-being, and gathered feedback regarding the amenities and services being provided within the jail.
Dr. Soumya underscored the importance of ensuring proper care, safety, and welfare of inmates, while also focusing on effective correctional practices aimed at their reformation and rehabilitation.
Prison officials present during the inspection included Dr. D. Srinivas, DIG Prisons, Hyderabad Range, R. Shoban Babu, DSJO, Nalgonda, and B. Sudhakar, Superintendent, Sub Jail, Suryapet.
