Hyderabad, Apr 14 (TNT) : An organic food outlet run by women was inaugurated at Lal Bazaar junction in Secunderabad on Monday evening, marking a step towards promoting women’s empowerment.
The store, named PMO (Prakruti Matru Organic), was formally inaugurated by Umar Alisha, ninth Peethadhipati of Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham, Pithapuram..
Addressing the gathering, Dr Alisha highlighted the importance of empowering women and said that promoting home-made, natural food prepared by women can significantly contribute to public health and well-being.
He noted that in today’s fast-paced urban lifestyle, people are increasingly moving away from traditional food practices, and said the initiative aims to reconnect urban residents with natural and organic homemade food.
The spiritual leader blessed the organizers — Rajyalakshmi, Uma, Sunitha and Chandu and wished the venture success.
On the occasion, organic food products were distributed free of cost to visitors and dignitaries.
Members of the Hyderabad branch of the Peetham, its PRO Dr Sunil Kumar Yandra, and Senior Journalis, film actor and writer Battula Prakash Babu, and writer, were among those present.
