Tadepalligudem (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 11 (TNT): Three students from ASR Homoeopathic Medical College (ASRHMC) from Andhra Pradesh, were honoured with appreciation certificates at the World Homoeopathy Day 2026 celebrations held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Saturday.
World Homoeopathy Day marks the birth anniversary of Samuel Hahnemann, bringing together practitioners, academicians and students to promote research and innovation in the field.
The two-day event was organised by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) in collaboration with the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH).
The students were among 53 selected from across the country under the Short Term Studentship in Homoeopathy (STSH) programme and were recognised for their research contributions, the college said in a release here.
Certificates were presented during the valedictory ceremony in the presence of esteemed dignitaries.
Ms. Alarmelmangai D., Joint Secretary at the Ministry of AYUSH, attended as chief guest and highlighted the scientific potential of homoeopathy.
The event was attended by senior officials including CCRH Director General Subhash Kaushik, NCH Chairman Tarkeshwar Jain, NCH Secretary Sanjay Gupta and NIH Director Pralay Sharma.
Dr. Subhash Kaushik emphasized the council’s efforts to bridge the gap between traditional practice and modern science, while Dr. Tarkeshwar Jain noted that the deliberations provided a fruitful roadmap for future academic and clinical excellence.
ASRHMC Principal Dr Ananda Kumar Pingali, who attended the national event as a delegate, expressed his immense pride in the students’ achievements.
He said the recognition reflects the institution’s focus on promoting research and scientific excellence among students.
