Tirupati, Apr 10 (TNT): The annual Vasanthotsavams of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru will be celebrated with grandeur and devotion at Tiruchanoor from April 30 to May 2.
As a prelude to the festivities, the Ankurarpanam ritual will be held on April 29 at 6:00 PM. Devotees can participate in the Vasanthotsavam Seva by paying Rs.150 per person and receive the divine blessings of the Goddess.
As part of the celebrations, the Swarna Rathotsavam will be conducted grandly on May 1 at 9:30 AM.
During the three-day festival, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed to the Utsava deities in the Shukravara Thota from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
In the evenings, from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the Goddess will be taken in procession through the four Mada streets of the temple, blessing devotees with her divine darshan.
Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam on April 28
In connection with the Vasanthotsavams, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be observed on April 28 in a grand manner.
The Goddess will be awakened with Suprabhatam, followed by temple purification rituals from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The temple premises, walls, roof, and puja materials will be cleansed with sacred water.
A special fragrant mixture prepared with ingredients such as Namakoppu, Srichurnam, kasturi turmeric, green leaves, camphor, sandalwood powder, kumkum, and other aromatic substances will be used for purification by sprinkling it throughout the temple.
Darshan for devotees will be resumed from 9:00 AM onwards.
Due to these festivities, Kalyanotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas will remain cancelled on April 28 and from April 30 to May 2.
