New Delhi, Apr 10 (TNT) :THINK Gas on Friday launched a GIS-enabled Integrated Network Availability platform that allows customers to instantly check the availability of ‘Piped Natural Gas’ (PNG) connections in their locality and apply online for new connections.
The platform was introduced during the event ‘Energy Security – Driving India’s Next Wave of Gas Demand’ hosted by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board in the presence of PNGRB Members A K Tiwari and Jayanta Das, along with Abhilesh Gupta, Managing Director and CEO of THINK Gas.
Built on advanced Geographic Information System technology, the platform integrates geospatial data into a digital map and manages PNG infrastructure across THINK Gas’s licensed operational areas.
The company said the AI-ready platform would provide customers with real-time access to network availability while also supporting infrastructure expansion planning and customer service enhancement.
Commenting on the launch, Abhilesh Gupta said THINK Gas remains committed to leveraging technology to improve customer experience and accelerate access to cleaner fuels.
He said the company has become the first City Gas Distribution player in the sector to introduce such a GIS-integrated solution.
Through the THINK Gas website, customers can search their location using address, latitude and longitude, or by pinning their location on a map to check PNG service availability.
The company said customers can proceed with the application process directly through the platform after confirming service availability.
THINK Gas stated that once an application is submitted and documentation is verified, PNG connections will be provided within 30 days.
In areas where PNG service is not yet available, customers can register interest by submitting contact details, allowing the company to reach out when infrastructure expands.
The company said the initiative reflects its commitment to enhancing transparency, improving accessibility and accelerating adoption of cleaner energy solutions across the country.
