Vizianagaram/Srikakulam, Apr 10 (TNT): The Telugu Desam Party has stepped up preparations for ‘Mahanadu 2026’, with party State president Palla Srinivasa Rao and senior leaders undertaking an extensive tour across multiple locations to identify a suitable venue for the Party’s annual conclave.
Palla Srinivasa Rao, who is also the MLA from Gajuwaka, inspected nine potential sites in a single day as part of the exercise to finalise the venue for the event, which is held annually to mark the birth anniversary of party founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.
The inspection team assessed locations on parameters including Vastu compliance, availability of space, transport connectivity, parking infrastructure, security arrangements and the capacity to accommodate lakhs of party cadre.
The sites visited included Nathavalasa in Vizianagaram Parliamentary constituency, Paidibhimavaram in Etcherla constituency, Pisinni Road–Pativadapalem in Ranasthalam mandal, and Singavaram in Denkada mandal of Nellimarla constituency, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Palla Srinivasa Rao described Mahanadu as a symbol of self-respect for the party and said the 2026 edition would be organised on a grand scale befitting the stature of the TDP.
He said the conclave would be conducted in a manner that attracts national attention and sets new organisational benchmarks.
Palla said under the guidance of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and with the proactive leadership of Minister Nara Lokesh, Mahanadu 2026 is expected to be held on an unprecedented scale.
He said a final decision on the venue would be announced shortly after reviewing all options.
Others who accompanied him during the inspection included MP Kalisetti Appalanaidu, Chief Minister’s Programme Coordinator Mantena Satyanarayana, Zonal Coordinator Damacharla Satya, Kimidi Nagarjuna, and Nellimarla in-charge Karrothu Bangarraju, among others.
