ASR Homoeopathic Medical College Holds National Seminar on Hahnemann’s 271st Birth Anniversary

Tadepalligudem (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 10 (TNT):ASR Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (ASRHMC) on Friday organised the national seminar “Entelechia Homeopathica 2026” to commemorate the 271st birth anniversary of Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, founder of Homoeopathy.

Held under the theme ‘Bharatiya Homoeopathy: Transforming Traditional Wisdom into Tangible Science, the seminar was organised in collaboration with Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust (UARDT), IPH Foundation and Alisha Academy.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tributes to the portrait of Hahnemann by dignitaries, faculty members and delegates.

The seminar featured scientific sessions on contemporary developments in homoeopathy. B S Mohan, Chairman of IPH Foundation, addressed the gathering and spoke on integrating scientific research with clinical practice and strengthening institutional collaboration in the field.

During the valedictory session, several awards were presented to achievers for their contributions to homoeopathy and academics.

The Hahnemannian Excellence Award was presented to Onteru Mahendra Yadav, Chairman of Andhra Homoeo Association.

The Hahnemannian Humanitarian Award was conferred on Shyam Kumar Vaishnav for conducting over 300 free medical camps.

The Margaret Tyler Award was presented to A Avani  for professional advocacy and promoting female leadership.

Institutional excellence awards were also presented to faculty members across professor, associate professor and assistant professor categories, along with honours for Best Medical Officer and Best Intern.

Outstanding students from first year to internship batch were recognised with theASR Jewel of the Year award.

The institution also expressed appreciation to college Principal Ananda Kumar Pingali for his significant support in coordinating the event initiatives.

The valedictory function was presided over by Akula Vimala, Director of ASR Group of Institutions, who attended as chief guest and distributed the awards.

She thanked the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust for logistical support and said the 10-day outreach mission undertaken during the event had highlighted the need for improved rural healthcare outcomes across West Godavari district.

The seminar marked the culmination of World Homoeopathy Week 2026, during which the college conducted 11 free mega medical camps and provided diagnostic services to more than 2,000 patients.
