Hyderabad, Apr 9 (TNT): Telangana Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha inaugurated a three-day medical camp at Chanchalguda Jail here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Damodar said the government is working with the objective of providing better healthcare services to every citizen in the state.
He said awareness programmes and screening camps on HIV were being organised across Telangana as part of Health Week celebrations.
Damodar said medical camps are being conducted in prisons across the state to safeguard the health of inmates.
He said the Health Department has arranged HIV, tuberculosis and other health screenings for inmates as part of the camp.
He announced that special health camps with specialist doctors and diagnostic services would be organised in jails once every three months.
He also appreciated prison department officials for managing Telangana jails in a reform-oriented manner.
