Kakinada, Feb1 (TNT): The Kakinada City Police seized 43 vechies during a cordon-and-search operation conducted at the Rajiv Gruha Kalpa Apartments under the limits of the Port Police Station in the early hours of Sunday.
The operation, carried out on the directions of SP Bindu Madhav, was led by Port Police Station Inspector P. Sunil Kumar along with Three Town Circle Inspector KVS Satyanarayana and teams from Port, Two Town and Three Town police stations.
Around 50 police personnel took part under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Manish Devaraj Patil.
Police said the drive focused on preventing crime, identifying illegal migrants, tracking ganja and drug networks, detecting criminal conspiracies, and checking vehicles without valid documents.
As part of the operation, police seized 43 motorcycles lacking proper records and shifted them to the Port Police Station.
Officials warned that such surprise operations would continue to curb illegal activities and ensure public safety, urging residents to report suspicious movements and cooperate with police to maintain law and order.
