Telangana BJP Targets Kharge Over RSS Remarks, Seeks Apology

Hyderabad, Apr 8 (TNT): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge over his alleged remarks against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), demanding an unconditional apology and accusing the Indian National Congress of indulging in politics of hate.

Addressing media persons here, BJP Telangana Chief Spokesperson N. V. Subash termed the Congress president’s alleged comments on the RSS as inflammatory and politically motivated, and said such remarks reflected the Congress party’s longstanding ideological hostility towards the organisation.

He alleged that Mallikarjun Kharge’s statements amounted to hate speech and incitement, and urged the Election Commission of India (ECI)  to take note of the matter, particularly in view of the political significance of the remarks in a poll-bound state.

The BJP leader accused the Congress of attempting to malign the RSS despite its role in nation-building and relief efforts during national crises and natural disasters.

Subash said the Congress has repeatedly targeted the RSS for political gains and warned that such statements could create divisions and provoke hostility against RSS workers.

Demanding an immediate apology, he said the people of the country would not accept attempts to tarnish the image of the RSS through what he termed irresponsible political rhetoric.
