Hyderabad, Apr 5 (TNT) : The Telangana government will observe Health Week from April 6 to 11 across the state under its flagship programme “Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika.”
Food safety will be the focus on the inaugural day, with a series of awareness programmes planned in the city.
A Food Safety Awareness Walkathon, expected to witness participation of around 1,000 people, will be flagged off by Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha at Jal Vihar, Necklace Road in the city on Monday morning, and will proceed up to the HMDA Grounds.
An “Eat Right Mela” will be organised from 10:00 AM onwards at Nature Cure Hospital, featuring around 40 food stalls offering quality food items, with millet-based dishes as a special attraction.
The Minister will also attend the mela at 3:00 PM and distribute Hygiene Rating Certificates to food business operators and hotels.
