Khammam, Apr 5 (TNT):The wedding reception of Surya Vikramaditya and Sakshi, son of Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Nandini, was held in a grand manner here on Sunday, drawing an overwhelming turnout of people in the city. 
The event, organised at Green Hills on YSR Colony Road, began at 10 AM and continued till evening, with thousands of party workers, supporters and well-wishers thronging the venue, turning the area into a sea of people.
Several public representatives, including MLAs, MLCs, corporation chairpersons, district collectors, senior officials from various government departments and top police officers from the erstwhile Khammam district, attended the function and conveyed their blessings to the newlyweds.
Prominent political leaders and dignitaries from across the state also graced the occasion, making the event a convergence of political and administrative leadership.
According to organisers, more than one lakh people attended the reception.
Elaborate arrangements were made to cater to the large gathering, particularly supporters arriving from various villages in the Madhira constituency.
The police department implemented special traffic regulation measures, while extensive parking facilities were arranged to accommodate thousands of vehicles.
Despite the huge turnout, the event proceeded smoothly due to coordinated efforts by volunteers and party workers.
Though the wedding ceremony was held in Hyderabad on March 5, the reception was organised in Khammam to enable local supporters and people of the region to bless the couple.
Bhatti Vikramarka and his family expressed gratitude to all those who attended the reception and extended their wishes, stating that the event would remain a memorable occasion for the district.
