Hyderabad, Feb 1 (TNT) : The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), Southern Region on Sunday welcomed the Union Budget 2026–27, calling it a business-friendly framework that strengthens MSME liquidity, manufacturing competitiveness and export growth amid global trade uncertainties.
Reacting to the Budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, FIEO Southern Region Chairman Mr. Gopalakrishnan said the focus on enhanced MSME credit guarantees, infrastructure-led logistics improvements and targeted support for labour-intensive sectors will improve cost efficiency and investment confidence for exporters.
The extension of PLI schemes, faster implementation of PM MITRA Parks and GST rationalisation are expected to benefit key Southern export clusters in textiles, leather and processed food by improving margins and global competitiveness, he said.
Continued thrust on infrastructure and supply-chain efficiencies will also help exporters diversify markets and manage tariff-related risks, he said.
Overall, FIEO Southern Region views the Budget as providing policy stability and growth visibility, positioning Southern India as a key contributor to India’s long-term export expansion.
