Tadepalligudem (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 4 (TNT): Marking the fourth day of World Homoeopathy Week 2026, ASR Homoeopathic Medical College (ASRHMC), in coordination with the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust (UARDT), organised large-scale health screenings and awareness programmes in villages of West Godavari district, on Saturday.
The outreach activities were conducted in Dandagarra and Darsiparru, focusing on lifestyle disorders such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
Medical teams carried out diagnostic screenings and educated the public on the role of homoeopathy in managing chronic conditions.
An awareness programme was also held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Gurukulam Boys School & College, where students were sensitised about natural immunity and preventive healthcare.
Gurukulam Principal Manukonda Durga Rao participated in the programme.
In Dandagarra, medical services were led by Prof. Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali along with doctors V. Sarojini Priyanka and A. Priyanka, while in Darsiparru, the team was headed by Dr. D. Surendra Kumar and Dr. Praveena.
The initiative also aligns with the mandate of the National Commission for Homoeopathy to promote community-based healthcare and public awareness.
ASRHMC Principal Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali said the institution is committed to its “Project Health Tadepalligudem” initiative and is ready to collaborate with schools, colleges and organisations to conduct similar health camps.
He urged institutions and community leaders to prioritise preventive healthcare and avail such services for their members.
The programme witnessed active participation of student interns, volunteers and local residents.
