Hyderabad, Apr 3 (TNT): The Supreme Court of India on Thursday cleared the Telangana Group-I recruitment process, paving the way for the appointment of 563 successful candidates as Group-I officers.
With this ruling, the apex court has brought to a close the prolonged legal deadlock surrounding the recruitment, allowing the state government to proceed with issuing appointment orders.
The court’s decision is expected to provide significant relief to aspirants who had been awaiting clarity on the selection process for several years.
Welcoming the verdict, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday said the judgement vindicates the government’s commitment to transparency and integrity in public recruitment.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister noted that the ruling brings relief to candidates who had endured prolonged uncertainty and hardship while preparing for the examinations.
He said the government, soon after assuming office, had expedited the process by issuing the notification, conducting examinations, and moving swiftly towards appointments.
The Chief Minister also said the government undertook reforms in the Telangana State Public Service Commission to strengthen the recruitment system and restore the confidence of job aspirants.
