Tirupati: TDP Leader O.V. Ramana Criticises Jagan Over Amaravati Issue

Tirupati, Apr 2 (TNT): Senior Telugu Desam Party leader O.V. Ramana on Thursday criticised former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over his remarks on the state capital issue.

Addressing a press conference here, Ramana alleged that Jagan continues to oppose Amaravati despite it being accepted earlier as the state capital.

He said decisions taken during Jagan’s tenure created uncertainty around the capital.

Ramana further alleged that the former Chief Minister’s statements on Amaravati were politically motivated and criticised his approach while being in the opposition.

The TDP leader also levelled allegations regarding irregularities during the previous YSR Congress Party government, referring to claims linked to ports such as Machilipatnam and Krishnapatnam, and statements made by former MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy.

He urged Jagan to adopt a more constructive approach in public discourse.
