Telangana Govt to Roll Out ‘Bhu Bharati’ Portal on pilot basis in five mandals from tomorrow

Hyderabad, April 1 (TNT): Telangana Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Wednesday announced the launch of an integrated land services platform, ‘Bhu Bharati’, aimed at providing a permanent solution to land-related issues in the State.

The portal, developed by integrating land, survey and registration departments, will be implemented on a pilot basis from April 2 in five mandals in the state.

The initiative is being taken up under the direction of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to ensure transparency and ease of access to land services, particularly for farmers.

The pilot will be carried out in Kusumanchi (Khammam), Aswaraopeta (Bhadradri Kothagudem), Amangal (Ranga Reddy), Watpally (Sangareddy) and Kosgi (Narayanpet), with district collectors instructed to monitor the implementation.

The Minister said the portal will enable citizens to access land-related services from home through smartphones, including viewing land records, applying for surveys and tracking applications.

He said survey requests will be processed within fixed timelines, with notices issued to neighbouring landowners and surveys conducted using modern rover technology, followed by verification and approvals by revenue officials.

Each land parcel will be assigned a unique Bhudhar number, while survey maps will carry a unique LPM number and will be made mandatory for registrations in the pilot mandals.

The Minister said the initiative would enhance transparency, improve accuracy in land records and reduce disputes, adding that the portal would be expanded across the State after evaluating the pilot phase.
