Tirupati (AP), April 1 ( TNT): The Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) has initiated action against 69 shift operators who allegedly secured jobs using fake certificates across multiple districts.
In a statement on Wednesday , APSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Sivasankar Lotheti said complaints were received regarding candidates obtaining shift operator posts in substations through outsourcing agencies by submitting forged documents.
An inquiry revealed that the individuals had produced fake ITI (Electrician) certificates without actually completing the course.
District-wise findings include three cases in Tirupati, four in Chittoor, four in Nellore, 38 in Kadapa, 16 in Kurnool, one in Annamayya and three in Anantapur, he said.
Following the findings, instructions have been issued to Superintending Engineers of the respective circles to serve notices to the agencies concerned and remove all 69 individuals from service, he said
The CMD said strict action would be taken to prevent such irregularities and ensure transparency in recruitment processes.
